This week’s story, “Silence Your (De)Vice”, is a comic I wrote and drawn by the great artist Max Bare - you would recognize his work on any of the beers from Revolution Brewing.
The pages are not inked or colored so I’d be happy to send them off for budding artists to practice with if they want high res versions of the images.
I chose this project because it ties in directly to much of what I’ve been feeling as well as the themes of the short story I started writing this week. The short story got bigger than I expected when my protagonist received a message from Gregor Samsa. Finishing that draft up today.
The comic is a short story about a man and the Stockholm Syndrome he develops for his spiritual ball and chain.
Below you’ll find the full comic.
If you are interested, I can share the original script and the sketches I sent along to Max for how I saw one of the characters.
Hug your loved ones and celebrate your weekend.
Happy Friday,
Blake

Insanely accurate. Makes me want to start leaving home without the phone!
